Poll question: Whom do you find more annoying as a radio talk host?
Edited on Tue Apr-12-05 07:28 AM by Montauk6
The reason I offer only THESE two is because, of all the left-leaning talk dudes, both seem to bring out a lot of negative criticism on these boards, so I was curious.

I've heard Springer for the past two months and actually dig what he has to say. The only exposure I've had of Colmes is his participation on that Talk Host debate on C-Span; I've never heard his radio show nor have I seen him on his Fox show. What I gather, and please correct me if I'm wrong, the brunt of the hostility is more with these guys' TV personae (Springer as Circusmaster; Colmes as Stooge).

So, have at it, folks!

1. Both
I have been trying to listen to Springer but he is short on references and big on emotionalism.
Colmes is a tool.

You want to listen to real hosts then listen to:
Thom Hartmann for his superior intellect.
Randi Rhodes for her sarcastic, truthful wit.
Mike Malloy for his informed fire.
Ed Schultz for his passionate populism.

Al Franken is only good because of his great regular guests...IMHO B-)

2. I'm not making my point clear, I guess
I KNOW about all those folks you list (I could add Ike Newkirk, Tony Trupiano, Mike Webb, Bernie Ward, Laura Flanders, Lionel, Peter Werbe, Nate Clay, Joe Madison, Karel, etc.).

But I guess I'm more interested in, if you had to choose what apparently boils down to the lesser of two evils (viz. Colmes and Springer), where would you stand?

Hey, there are sillier polls, lol!

4. Except To See The Image The GOP _Wants_ To Paint The Left...
don't even go there.

The message is important. The medium is not.

3. Is Colms Real?
Isn't he just a front puppet, used as a throw dummy for laughs?

Way back in the days of radio, "Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy" used a wooden puppet to get a laugh. By giving credence that Colms as anything more than a put-up job by the GOP, are we not saying the laughs on us.

Colms does not even qualify as a Stooge.

5. I Too Must Vocally
Abstain. Both are a pitiful joke. But Springer does look human.
