New Orleans Media Coverage/Coverup? |
|
Has the mainstream media reached a new level of incompetence or are they following orders to downplay the ongoing disaster in New Orleans?
All morning, I've been following the worsening situation in New Orleans caused by the flooding resulting from the levee breach. The levee breach is hardly mentioned, if at all, by the network broadcasts and mainstream websites that I've monitored.
Here're the "hurricane cleanup" stories covered by CBS Network News at 1PM and 2PM: * Dead bodies floating in floodwater * Looting, looting, and looting * Bush cuts short vacation
No, repeat NO, mention that the levee breach occurred or the obviously severe consequences. This from the usual fear-mongering media??? ARGHHH!!!!
Unless you're watching a feed from a NO local station or reading DU, you'd have no idea what is going on.

3. I woke up @ 3am and CNN was doing a great job Jeanne Maserve |

was reporting well. Almost breaking down when she discussed the bodies she saw floating and hearing the dogs barking for help she even mentioned that she saw a dog wrapped in live wires struggling.
