Former MTV prez to aid in creation of Gore's news channel
This is the latest info on Al Gore's news channel. Looks like he's getting some excellent people in the mix. Bob Pittman is a good choice. He was also an early member of the Clinton administration.

2. another link re: this from the NY Post
This one says the purchase could be completed by the end of November...that they are working on whether the headquarters should be in San Francisco or NYC and that they're looking for "a liberal Roger Aisles" to run the station, among other things...
