what "Liberal 'news' media"?
Understanding US and Britain's Neo-nazis

what Liberal 'news' media.

When was the last time you read of "Managment Problems"

The conservatively biased 'news' media skew coverage towards the right...and always have!

"Labor Problems/ Labor Disputes'- never Managment problems/ Managment Disputes.

It's always Management makes "offers" and Labor makes "demands";

Offers: such as lower wages, longer hours, less benefits,
Management stealing Pension Funds (as ENRON proved beyond doubt)

Demands: (historically)
safe working conditions
an end to child labor
the 40 hour work week
overtime pay
health care
retirement/pensions

A Liberal media would have
exposed the greed of management
and championed the plight of overworked underpaid Americans and foreign nationals (imported as cheap labor)

A Conservatively biased media would do exactly as NBC-CBS-ABC-CNBC-CNN have done...

Take the side of the corporations with editorializing within the 'reporting'
by using such skewed terms as "Labor Disputes" (when UPS execs were trying to get their greedy hands on UPS employees Union controlled pensions.

The Federal government watches unions like hawks, but trusts management to
just
do the right thing, without any oversight.
a la ENRON (who invested pension funds to inflate stocks
so management's stock options could make the thieves richer as the workers lost everything.

It's the American way!

Peaceful demonstrations are falsely reported as riots after Police attack peaceful demonstrators,
some of whom fight back against the police state's unjustified violence.

it's gotten to the point that many citizens are so brainwashed that they see only one side of all issues.

Which side do they see?

Why the side the media they loath tells them to look at!

As rightwing media 'reporters' tell him how the 'Liberal' media is lying.
They themselves are that media they bash.

And some people aren't bright enough to see the contradictions:

Star Trek episode:
Kirk:
"Everything I say is a lie."
Norman: "If you're telling the truth, you must be lying..."

Oliver North used this skewed logic successfully during the Iran Contra coverup.
Testified that he'd lied to congress, yet swore he was telling the truth when he testified that he had lied to them before.

'Conservatives' (neo-cons/ not true Conservatives like Goldwater) will believe any lie from their own side!

.

That is what's most bewildering.

They know the media is lying,
yet they believe the lies the media tells them.

3. Write to MSNBC and tell them to stop using Republican pollster Frank Luntz
MSNBC repeatedly uses Frank Luntz to interpet and even to give results of polls. Sometimes he is identified as a REPUBLICAN pollster, sometimes not. This is the guy who worked with Newt Gingrich on the Contract with America, and who is currently also now assisting with the California Governor Davis recall. I submit that someone who is paid by Republicans should not be used to try to give "objective" interpretation of polling data. I found his interpretation of the debates during the 2000 campaign to be very biased, and was shocked to find out that they were using a Republican in this role (in part because Lutz is a wolf in sheep's clothing - he dresses and looks the part of more of a left winger than a right winger). As anyone who has ever read the book How to Lie with Statistics knows, polling questions/techniques and data can be manipulated to make things seem different than they are. I urge anyone who cares about this issue to demand that MSNBC either drop using Frank Luntz, or to give equal time to a Democratic pollster. Certainly they should always identify him for what he is, a Republican pollster. Write to:

letters@msnbc.com

hardball@msnbc.com

joe@msnbc.com

(Joe Scarborough is another right wing idealogue who should not be allowed on the air without someone to balance him out - that could be a whole other letter writing campaign.

4. Bill Maher said "liberal media" is a buzzword for "Jews in the media"
That was the old days of Politically Incorrect, when he was on Comedy Central.

5. Hi, just found out about this site. It is great!
It was mentioned on www.tvspy.com, a web site for broadcast journalists that has become a defacto for liberal bashing.

Boy it is amazin' to see the CONservatives on that site as they try to spin and dodge and ignore their man's attrocities.

I think they are somehow trying to counteract the "liberal bias" by repeatedly spouting Limbaugh's Lies to the journalists who visit there. I guess they hope the journalists will start to believe their leader.

Interesting site, you ought to check it out! Go to the watercooler section. You can read the recent posts for free.

6. Media Democrats
Actually, I thought we were doing okay with the media in America. I read that 90% of the media journalists vote Democratic! Sounds like good news to me!

8. Nazis
They may have called their party the National Socialist German Workers Party, but Nazis were reactionary through and through. Nazis and Neo-Nazis are in no way socialist.

9. I think both sides have too much influence in their varying media outlets
I think that the left has owned the networks for 50 years and is just now starting to loose their grip. The right has overly biased media outlets as well, whether not they are a reaction to the control of the outlets by the left for so long is a reasonable debate. Aslo one must consider the image of Rebublicans and conservatives in TV and movies,im thinking that when I get enough posts Ill start a discussion on this topic, so keep your eyes peeled.

Shalom

10. Eric Alterman
He wrote a book called "what liberal media" that paints a convincing case against the notion of a "liberal media". Mostly it is corporate media. Great read but a little disheartening.
