Gwen Ifil sending subliminal messages....

Watching the Newshour...Ifil is interviewing the guy from the Center for Public Integrity, who said there's every reason to assume political donations from businesses are attempts to solicit consideration for bids (as in Iraq).

Ifil turned to some general and asked (paraphrased) "what about it, general, are these donations made to solicit bid awards"...and as she finished the question SHE SHOOK HER HEAD "NO".

If anyone else can check it please do so. There's NOTHING in the words she was saying that would prompt a "no" head shake.

Who was Gwen sending the message to? The general? The public?

1. Gwen knows what side of her corporate bread is buttered. And yes I do

believe that it is the general and the general public who she is trying to send her body language message to. I think that alot of her fellow news anchors do the same thing. I`ll be happy to be poor and have my son go to a decent public school. Than be rich lying pukes like these media whores. Just for a big pay check. Weird is correct. And a little sick I think too.

2. I don't like Gwen Ifil...

she's some kind anti in whatever I think is right.

I won't watch her anymore. I used to ..but she would always have these little asides that made me think she's anti-democratic.

She was probably looking off the set at some director. I am an Ifil fan but I have noticed that she does some inside baseball stuff while whe thinks she is off camera. You see her waving and signaling a lot on Washington Week in Review (best show on TV for the last 15 years)

...it was one of those "these are not the droids you're looking for" moves. Not an offhand or off-camera move. It was deliberate, and right into the camera.

The general said, of course, that he'd NEVER heard of bids being determined by political donations. Shocked, shocked, at the allegation.
