"Dean Leads Kerry in N.H. Democrat Primary"

I am a Dean supporter. However I don't see how Dean can be leading the primary when the primary hasn't been held.
What's up with Yahoo here? Any ideas?

1. headlines only have so many words
They mean polls about the primary. They don't necessarily have space to
specify.
