A question re ClearChannel... |
|
I know they're the evil empire, and I know many DUers boycott their stations. Here's the question:
How does boycotting them hurt them? I can understand not patronizing their sponsors, but what if they have a station in my market that I really enjoy? One that actually has a morning jock that makes fun of Shrub? Can I listen without guilt?
I'm so confused...

Although I do make it a point not to buy anything from the firms that advertise on Clear Channel if I'm aware they're an advertiser.

2. The likelihood of a Clear Channel Station making fun of Shrub |

is next to nil. Plus, follow your own conscience, don't let us tell you what political choices to make (like this post does anyways :eyes:).
You can listen to Clear Channel stations and still protest them and/or act towards their destruction. After all, AC/DC still gets played on my local Clear Channel "rock" station, and I wouldn't want to be without Angus for too long....

Go ahead and listen. As long as you're not answering surveys from a group measuring radio-ratings, it won't affect their ratings.
