The radio station "AM 1280 the Fascist" in the Twin Cities just mentioned DU. On AM 1280 the nazi, the loud mouth host Heugh Hewitt (SP?) just said that the supporters of Howard Dean were like a virus in the Democratic Party. People like Al Gore, Howard Dean, Barbara Streisand (SP?) Al Franken, and Jeanne Garafalo (SP?), and the people at Democratic Underground were nuts. "They're just nuts" "They are like a virus like needs to be played out." paraphrased.

The next caller, named Howard, was barely coherent. He said that Howard Dean had ruined the name Howard, and put the name Howard down in a hole, just like Saddam Hussein's (SP?) hole.

I don't normally listen to this drivel, but I just got an emergency radio as a holiday gift, and was testing out the "hand crank" power option. Anyway, I gave the radio a test run and tuned into "Sieg Heil on the radio dial" for like 3-4 minutes max. And in this span of time, I hear this hateful stuff. The rightwing radio hosts (aren't they all!) are really generating a lot of hate for non-"conservatives." Astonishing! I know this stuff is out there, but I turned off the radio and cable tv news about a year ago. I didn't think it possible, but both sources really have gotten worse.

Around here (Chicago) all we have is hate radio. I was thrilled to hear that a local station had contacted them about picking up the show (YEAH!!!). The station said they're tired of trying to compete with the mass concentration of conservative stations. Smart move! :) Now, if I can just find out which station...

it boggles my mind that there are people who are actually entertained - who actually BELIEVE such garbage. Then you can hop right over to the freak republic and find proof of idiocy and hate.

6. There are lots of people who drive for a living.

They DO listen to this drivel.. Think about it. a guy who's away from the family for long stretches of time, and when he IS home, he hears about how they don't have enough money.. These hate radio people prey on the dispossessed among us..

The ones who start sentences with .."I teyull yoo waat".. They drone on for hours and hours at a time talking about why people don't have enough money.. They blame everything on "libruls" who are trying to take their guns, their freedom, etc"..

These folks are not "in charge of their lives" and they feel the stress They WANT someone to blame it on.. Every time they hear *'s name mentioned it's in regard to $300 he's sending them (because he loves them) or how he's kicking butt in a faraway land because "they" killed Americans..

These people , alone in their cars & trucks are NOT hearing anything about the cuts in medicare, the cozy relationship with big business, the phony tax cuts that are little more than a "payday loan" against next year's taxes.. They will NEVER hear anything bad about * or anything good about democrats..

THIS IS HOW BRAINWASHING WORKS, FOLKS.. Plain and simple.. These "hosts" come across as "regular folks"..they use simple platitudes over and over and over..

They push the agenda that "libruls" want your kids to be gay,god-hating,unpatriotic, potsmoking hippies who have or pay for abortions every other month, and stop to burn a few flags on the way.... They want these people to think that the ONLY people who are "like them" are the godfearing Christian, clean-living,patriotic republicans..

The is NO OTHER opposing opinion allowed.. and in the eyes of the average person, if the dems do not respond, the right must BE right.. What no one bothers to tell them is that all the microphones are OWNED by the right wing.. There are a few lonely voices in the wilderness, but they are relegated to late at night or on stations that fade in and out..
