Al Franken upcoming radio show discussed on "Fox News Watch"
There is a show on Fox News on Saturdays at 6:30 PM Eastern called "Fox News Watch."

Tonight, they briefly discussed the radio show which Al Franken will host (starting in March 2004 or a later month).

Cal Thomas said that radio audiences start out small and it would take Franken years to build up an audience, and that Franken probably isn't interested enough in radio to stick with it for years to build up an audience.

Neil Gabler said to the contrary that Franken will probably have a big audience as soon as the show starts.

Neil Gabler added that even if Al Franken doesn't have a big audience, his radio show may still influence news coverage, which Franken would also regard as an accomplishment.

1. Wait a minute...
Someone on Fox News said something good about a liberal?
What the hell?

3. Oh. Neil Gabler isn't the token liberal, is he?
Kinda like Alan Colmes?

6. Okay
I must admit that Fox News is blocked from my TV and VCR completely.
I don't see it unless I actively seek it out, so I'll admit I have no idea who Neil Gabler is.
I did just read David Corn's "The Lies of George W. Bush" and noticed that Corn has been a commentator and contributor to Fox News. After reading the book (which did a good job of detailing the lying years of Bush, moreso than Al Franken even has) I wonder if Corn still has a job at Fox.
(Although he did manage to dig Clinton; half-blaming 9/11 on Clinton as much as Bush.)

8. I watch Fox News more than average Democrat, and haven't seen David Corn.

If he's on Fox News, he isn't on very often (as far as I can tell).

9. Weird.
The dust cover for the book says he's a contributor to Fox. And he even thanked several of the Fox regulars in his acknowledgments.
It's a good book, though.

4. O'Franken Factor
Just a repeat - Al Franken said he thought about naming the show The O'Franken Factor so Fox could sue and provide plenty of publicity as they did for his book.

Thomas is a sanctimonious bore.

7. Go Al!
That's really funny. I love how he never misses an opportunity to twist the dagger.
