Former King producer goes to MSNBCFrom media and staff reports
MSNBC has recruited a seasoned television news producer, Tamara Haddad, to run its 6 p.m. political program, ''Buchanan and Press,'' The New York Times reports.
Haddad is often credited for helping to create ''Larry King Live'' on CNN in 1985, the newspaper reports. She was executive producer of that program until 1993, when she became the senior producer of the ''Today'' show on NBC. In 1995, she went to CBS to become the senior producer of ''The Late Late Show With Tom Snyder.'' Recently, she has been a consultant to several media outlets.
Haddad started her new job last week, the newspaper reports. In her first move, she tapped Ron Reagan Jr., son of the former president, to be a guest host.
