Front page of Yahoo/AP news and other sites: RNC Releases Web Ads Targeting John Kerryhttp://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&ncid=1963&e=1&u=/ap/20040319/ap_on_el_pr/campaign_video_2&sid=96378798Nowhere in the news (but released today as well and announced in the DNC newsletter): New Flash Movie: Bush's $5.2 Trillion Deficithttp://www.democrats.org/deficit/flash.htmlWhat the hell are we supposed to do when the U.S. media gives every Bush ad against Kerry free front page coverage, but they usually completely ignore anything critical of Bush from our side?

... with the quality of this particular DNC ad, perhaps we're better off that it's not getting as widely exposed.
Attention, DNC moles: You've got a whole cadre of professional video producers sitting right here at DU. Use them, and not this intern who just read "Teach Yourself Flash In 24 Hours."

6. That might be true, but read the Yahoo article |
|
They don't compare the quality of the videos against each other. They spend many paragraphs talking about every detail of the Republican attack. In the entire long article, two short sentences mention, in passing, that the DLC also released a flash - that's it. The rest is all about the RNC ad.
Just about the entire article is a slam on Kerry, and the headline only mentions the GOP attack.
I do agree that we, the left, should be destroying the right with creativity. Why aren't we?

3. Funny thing, I can't view the RNC one, but the DEM just plain sucks |
|
I mean, really sucks.
Why not keep the facts listed and let them grow, enforcing the big list of Bush foulness. It could be slicker, faster, and much more effective. I suspect nepotism in the selection of this designer.

4. Time to spend a little time calling the media on their bullshit |
|
We've got to press these mofos and cause them so much pain through cognitive dissonance and/or our persuasive powers that they relent. Gotta speak up. Gotta let them have it!
Call and/or write them.
Report it to www.fair.org
Go to the Activism room and create an action alert with a description of the offense/slight and an email address or feedback link for the offending media organization.
A very good read: "Corporate Media and the Threat to Democracy by Robert McChesney.
