Military personal want Rush off AFN
I was reading the stars and stripes. There was alot of posts *more then 3* stating they wanted removal of rush limbaugh.
heres part of one of the posts.
"This letter isn’t about radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh, who recently said that all drug addicts should be put in the same jail cells as drug pushers. This is about AFN’s decision to continue broadcasting Limbaugh’s show. This show has no place on AFN. It provides no service to our servicemembers. It’s just political propaganda at its worst. The entire show is nothing more than continuous, vicious attacks against one of America’s prominent political parties." well said !!
go to veiw letters. They are kinda pissed at bush too.

2. A better link or two...
This is easier...

and...
http://www.stripesonline.com/article.asp?section=125&article=18916

But seriously, "recently"? My understanding is that Limbaugh last documented "harsh" statement on drug addicts was in 1995? Hardly recently. Anybody document anything AFTER he got addicted? I guess he was mortified and embarrassed in private, therefore avoided the subject altogether after he became addicted.

The decision to keep limbaugh on the Armed Forces Network...

Is it true that NONE of the 600 or so stations dropped limbaugh after the addiction revelations? I am a bit surprised. I would think some of the stations would be so fundamentalist and intolerant that they would do so in a heartbeat.

Grok

3. Add me to that list!
Over here in Korea, all we hear/see is "maharushie", faux news, and bill "i'm splotchy and proud of it" o'lielly. The Gov't is supposed to be neutral in all political matters. I guess that doesn't go well with BFEE :puke:

9. Thank you for realizing not all military personnel are
rethugs. Currently stationed in Korea, and this is the 8th time in the last 11 years I'm away from home for the holidays. This year also marks my 5th time overseas. :-(
Do me a favor there in the States, ok? Promise me that we won't have to endure another 4 years of chimpy. Can't stand him...same goes for poppy...as well as raygun.

10. AFN
has done pretty well at keeping the media outlets balanced in the last few years, they rotate pretty evenly between Fox, MSNBC, and CNN but I have never much cared for their radio, but when Im out at sea, I just listen to CD's anyways =)
