...getting away with murder, explotation, and criminal acts that circumvent the repuiblic, democracy, and the constitution on almost every legal, moral, and ethical level?

Sure, there are cracks starting to open up against them and their lies, and I pray and hope the get bigger; but, I just don't get Why they still are running strong?

Are people that apathetic not to see the abuses and the near totalitartian ways this administration tries to quelch critisizm and those whom question them?

I'll never give up, and I am not out of hope;
But, I really just don't get it? I really don't know why? Why the complacaney, the self-imposed ignorance? Have the majority of Americans really been duped so well, or the scary thing is, Do they actually agree with the way the Bush administration does things?

Are Americans the mob? Are they becoming imperialists and don't know it?

Are most Americans afraid to admit that they've been duped
(freepers, and bloodthirsty neo-cons aside)?

Are they sheilding themselves (see nothing, hear nothing, say nothing) becuase they can not beleive, its to terrible to beleive that our country has been taken over by would-be puppet president(King) and the corporate dictators that hold the strings?

Have they willing buried their ethics and morals for ideological victory at all costs?

It makes me sick and very sad.

When the epilouge is written, in the eyes of history, they will be judged like the german people have been during the rise of Hitler before WW2.

1. Only about 10% of the country gives a shit, that's why.

We used to have an elite class that protected our democracy, but that's history now. The thieves have taken over. You won't recognize America in twenty years.

2. I don't recognize it now.

I've only just begun to care, mostly because I "caught on." Most of the people I know fall into these categories:

1. They actually agree with the neocon agenda. (This includes my family, unfortunately.)
2. They are willfully ignorant. "I don't wanna know. I don't wanna know. I don't wanna know." This includes most of the rest of the people I know in this county.

I've met a few people who feel the same way I do, but they are being dismissed as "stupid conspiracy theorists." One of my college professors was bashed for "brainwashing" students. Sigh.

This is a county of SUVs with American flags sticking out of every orifice. I've even seen a few trucks with Confederate flags flying on the truck bed. This is in California, people.

5. Life is complicated, people aren't. Propaganda ensues.

Americans are inundated with more faces, opinions and chatter than they can handle so they look for the 'highlights' that are easily discernable. Like celebrities and Fox news and what ever is printed above the fold when they walk past the newspaper boxes. This allows simplistic propaganda carried undiluted by the 'chattering classes' to dominate the public's busy worried little mind.

I found a site listed on the Propaganda Matrix that describes PNAC and its goals pretty well. There are a few religious comments, just warning anyone who might be offended by that. But all in all, a solid article.
