Foreclosure rate 'scary' (Denver)
Foreclosure rate 'scary'

Through October, metro area running 28.4% ahead of 2003

By John Rebchook, Rocky Mountain News
November 10, 2004

Almost 10,000 metro-area real estate foreclosures have been filed in the first 10 months of this year, eclipsing last year's tally.

And only a technicality prevented that number from exceeding 10,000. That's because at least two counties - Denver and Arapahoe - decided not to hold foreclosure sales during the week before Christmas...cont'd

3. WOW! Thanks for the headsup about the # of posts.
I hadn't been keeping track, but that certainly seems like a mile marker worth noting.

4. the economy is great.........housing market is booming.............
I read the legal notices in my paper every day (yeah it weird but I need a hobby) and there are on the average 25 foreclosures daily. What does that mean? People are living beyond their means buying homes they can't afford and borrowing like there is no tomorrow. Tomorrow has been here for a while.
