This is the kind of crap that makes me wonder why anyone would want to be a repukelican.
Believe it or not, Hastert was talking about how the current Congress is being fiscally responsible. After I recovered from choking on my coffee he went on to say that it was the "GOP" that created the surplus in the 90's and that they stopped Clinton from spending it on "policies" and instead the GOP paid down the debt.
How can this asshole get away with this? The fact is not a single Republican voted for the budget because there were some modest tax increases and I distinctly remember Bob Dole complaining before the vote that if this budget were passed interest rates would almost immediately begin going up.
Well, we all know the true story. The pukes are always trying to rewrite history and we need to LOUDLY call them on it.
