SEC and Madoff and Markopolos

Regarding Markopolos, SEC and Madoff. From what I have heard on the news, in my radical self centered opinion, it is my impression that the SEC is an accelerated stepping stone for success. They keep their nose clean, don't cause any trouble and after a few years are guaranteed a nice job on Wall Street. It is self reinforcing by their predecessors. Would they get a nice job anyway. Who knows. Probably. But to what level? It just doesn't look good. I am a marine mechanic. I do do engine insurance surveys. I feel guilty about it. And what I do is very obvious, transparent and detailed.
