1. So Hank Paulson, the former CEO of Goldman Sachs
makes sure that Goldman Sachs gets $13 billion in TARP funds laundered through AIG, and Goldman is then able to post a year-end net profit?

It's good to have the king as your former CEO.

2. Surely you aren't insinuating Paulson would do such a thing!

He obviously has America's best interests at heart!

After all, he stepped out of the private sector and into public office - at a huge reduction in salary - out of his love of America, right? He had no thoughts whatsoever about his favors being returned down the road, I'm sure... :eyes:

:sarcasm:

3. Didn't several of these other companies receive bailouts of their own?

4. And where's the outrage over THIS one?

$165 Million is a lot of money, but I hate to agree with Rush that this is probably a smokescreen for the $50 Billion paid out to overseas banking counterparties. Our anger is being being manipulated to be directed towards those bonuses instead of towards the big picture of what's happening.

Who the F gets a bonus when you not only FAIL at your job, but you eviscerate the company's value along the way?

This whole bailout business has been sickening to me from the very beginning.

I used to be proud of the fact that my family prospered financially despite Bush being as bad as he was, but now it feels like the walls are closing in, and there's no way to insulate what you've worked so hard for against the forces of evil companies holding the taxpayer for ransom.
