MCI to lay off most of Winnipeg work force - Bus not telecom.
Bus manufacturer Motor Coach Industries has notified the Manitoba government it intends to lay almost 1,300 workers, virtually its entire work force in Winnipeg.

The company, one of the city's largest employers, said Wednesday the layoffs will occur between October and January.

Motor Coach Industries received a package of $20-million in incentives from the municipal, provincial and federal governments in February to keep the company in Winnipeg, after it threatened to pack up and leave the province.

Take the money BACK. If most of the money went into the pockets of executives, indict.

Stop paying vig.
