Levels Of Formaldehyde Poisoning High In H. KatrinaTrailers
The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform subpoenaed FEMA records which showed that lawyers of FEMA persuaded officials from following up on reports that there were high levels of formaldehyde poisoning in trailers used after Hurricane Katrina.
At Renaissance Village, in Baker, Louisiana, where up to 1,600 evacuees have lived since the storm, the contractor was the Shaw Group. said that his investigators would focus on several no-bid contracts awarded over the last two weeks to large, politically influential companies, including the Fluor Corporation of California, a major donor to the Republican Party, and the Shaw Group of Baton Rouge, La. Shaw is a client of Joe M. Allbaugh, a consultant who is the former head of FEMA and was President Bush's campaign manager in 2000. www.airamerica.com/node/4514

...that a lot of these trailers are being given to Native American tribes?
Seems our government still hasn't given up committing genocide against native peoples AND the poor.
I suggest all FEMA trailers house elected government officials.
