Hurricane Isabel May Reach Category 4 Status Tonight
She's still well out to sea (about 1,000 miles east of the Windward Islands), but continues to move steadily west/northwest at about 15 mph. If you live in the Southeast, you'll probably want to keep an eye on her for the next few days just in case.

2. Surfs up
It won't hit St. Maarten at least.

I went through seven hurricanes there in seven years.

Bloody hell.

4. Will Isabella be like Fabian?

Get captured by the Gulf Stream and end up in Greenland?

5. I've been tracking her
and I don't like what I see. I live in Florida (have for 9 years) and very carefully watch the storms.

I'm very worried about Isabel. Her current track is disturbing. However, one good thing is that she isn't as strong as she was 24 hours ago. There is a possibility she might just be a Cat 3 before hitting land.

Check this latest track:

7. Some additional strengthening is predicted...
along with a slight move to the west-southwest.

This *might* be good news for Florida, but not for a heck of a lot of other people. :(
