TOYOTA'S GREEN BUBBLE BURSTING?
TOYOTA'S GREEN BUBBLE BURSTING?

Toyota, one of the greenest car companies in the world, is making an about-face and attempting to derail a bill that would raise the fuel economy standard to 35 mpg by 2020. Please let Toyota know that we desperately need higher fuel economy standards to stop global warming.

1. Is it that they enjoy having less competition, perhaps?
How cynical of me that that was my first thought...

2. It's about time people saw Toyota for the phonies that they are...
They moved aggressively into the big trucks & SUV's and don't seem to be catching nearly as much crap for it as the Detroit 3.

Why? It's where the money is. Hybrid vehicles are not profitable.

7. What is really interesting is that when oil runs out the production of
cars as we currently know it, ends too.

no one wants to connect to that dot.

8. Its because of the TUNDRA
The reason they are against raising the fuel standard is because they would have to improve the mileage of their huge Tundra truck line... SO they are going to fight any increase..
