Everything but the Oceans' Sinks
Amidst alarms raised about the loss of ice in the polar regions, the extreme droughts across the US, the floods in the UK earlier this year, the increasingly unstable nature of the weather worldwide, a new concern has been raised about the Southern Oceans' inability to absorb and store CO2.

The Southern Ocean around Antarctica is so loaded with carbon dioxide that it can barely absorb any more, so more of the gas will stay in the atmosphere to warm up the planet, scientists reported on Thursday...

1. The worst
...thing that can happen is that the southern oceans become so warm that the ice on Antartica melts and flows into the ocean and making sea levels rise.

The ice melt at the north pole is like ice-cubes in a drink, no effect on sea levels since the ice is floating in the drink already.

But the ice above the seas, once melted will make the oceans overflow.

If anyone out there needs a place to run to when it happens.. pm me.

2. Add in massive deforestation & fires - adding CO2 and important sinks lost forever.
Not good to change the atmosphere back to some primordial soup.
