Robert Bussard passed away last month. I didn't know that. Pity.

1. I didn't know that either.
When I first started reading science fiction the "Bussard ramjet" was a popular interstellar drive for generation starships. It will be intersting to see if his Polywell design now becomes the "suppressed 100 mile per gallon carburetor" of the post-peak-oil era.

RIP to a most colourful character. Science needs a few more like him, IMO.
