Anyone know a good place to buy recycle bins?
I've been looking for a couple of recycle bins for awhile, just to make things a little neater in the kitchen. However, it seems like the ones I want, are like 40 BUCKS. Whaaaat? They're basically just like the plastic kitchen garbage cans you can buy for 10 dollars at K-Mart or someplace. Does painting them blue and posting a recycle sign on them up the price 30 bucks?

Anyone know where I can find some decently-priced ones, about the same size as a normal plastic kitchen garbage can, that can fit the blue plastic recycle bags inside of them? I think I'm looking for something around....30" x 12" x 14". Or something like that. I like some of the Rubbermaid products, but again, the price of the ones I am looking for run around $40 everywhere I'm able to find them. Anyone have any better ideas, or should I just stick with one of the cheap, regular garbage cans and put my recycling in there?

1. They spontaneously arrive.
If you think about it, it would be just wrong to buy a recycle bin. Instead just go up the street and recycle somebody else's.

3. Do they have to be blue?
I found some very large, gray storage bins at Target for $14.00 each and they have rollers on one side. I think they're the 45 gallons size. Very big. That price was the regular price.

4. We get ours from the county
recycling program. They give you two, but if you need more, you can call the R program office and they will drop you off extras the next time they come to your house to pick up the recycling (2x/month)

Although, I find them to be rather large to keep in my small house and am looking for a smaller stackable unit to keep in the utility room. Ah, we are never satisfied.

The city provides blue plastic bags for us to put our recycling in, which is what we had been using. I just would like to put the plastic bags in a garbage-can-like container, so I don't have them lying around, or sticking out of a drawer, etc. Just trying to get things a bit more tidy around here in anticipation of the holidays.

This is sort of what I was looking for, maybe just a tad bit shorter:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0002ZWQSW/ref=ord_cart_shr?%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=A3SKJE188CW5XG&v=glance

But again, it's like 40 bucks. I don't plan to stash them outside for recycling pickup, I just plan to use them in my kitchen to put the plastic bags so I can make my recycling a little bit more orderly. At worst, like I said, I guess I can just pick up some regular size kitchen garbage cans, but I'd prefer to get an official recycling bin; I just can't justify spending $40 for one, though. There are some others posted on amazon.com for a little bit less, but they're smaller than I'm looking for.

7. Well, I guess I answered my own question
After looking around a bit more on Amazon, I found:

http://www.amazon.com/Deskside-Paper-Recycling-Container-2957-06BL/dp/B00030L4RA/ref=pd_sim__img_2

It's a little bit smaller than I wanted, but it's reasonably-priced, and the recycle bags should be able to fit into it. So, I guess I'll go with a couple of them, unless anyone else has any other suggestions?

Thanks for the help everyone.
