Deltec to dedicate solar panels atop factory.
ASHEVILLE - U.S. Rep. Heath Shuler is scheduled to speak at the dedication of Deltec Homes' new solar photovoltaic array at 10 a.m. today at the plant at 69 Bingham Road

A manufacturer of sustainable round homes for 40 years, Deltec has invested about $500,000 in the 273 solar panels to create renewable energy and become a carbon-neutral manufacturer of green homes.

1. Slightly off-topic...I have a question...
How resistant are panels like this to hail damage? As you might deduce, i live in an area prone to such weather.

2. You'd have to do some research on photo voltaic panels.
I don't know the answer but I'm sure any manufacturer would be glad to hear from you.
