there still seems to be a decent amount of butterflys. This bee thing is very disturbing. I live in a very rural area.

To date it seems to be running higher than in previous years. Although typically I wouldn't see many compared to numbers of Honeybees. And the numbers of Honeybees I see are still way down from years past.

I can't recall if there were any last year, either. We've got bumblebees, but not as many as last year. I'm in central Maryland.
I grow lavender, hyssop, nepeta, blue salvias, butterfly bush,and agastache, which are all powerful bee attractants. So if there were any honeybees around within flying distance, they would be in my garden. I can't believe there aren't any.

over on a japanese honeysuckle every day as it is in bloom. There should be hundreds.
