watch Garbage Island
http://www.vbs.tv/shows.php?show=1154&source=sc

A documentary about a visit to the "trash island" in the pacific ocean. You will seriously reconsider your plastic use after seeing this.

1. I didn't watch the vid, but I'm aware of the place
Sort of like the world's biggest landfill, but it's floating.

Embarassing and disgusting.

2. its worth watching the vid
Its not quite what you think, its more like the plastic is broken down to confetti sized pieces and have diluted the water.

3. Thanks.
I will watch this in a bit. The intro part was more than I wanted to see but I will go on. It is important. I have only seen still pictures before so this should be very interesting as well as deeply depressing.

5. Very sobering piece. It's frightening what we've done to our oceans. NT

6. thanks for the site
I've tried to tell my family about this, it was hard to find much info about it online though, I guess it's so remote everyone ignores it.

It's a big shame on us.
