Except it's driving down the road. In fact, someone did call in a report to the police about a flying saucer driving down the road.

The international crew of the Power of One solar car project made a brief stop in Anchorage Monday morning. The trip started out of Buffalo, New York in June.

The car can travel for a stretch of 130 miles on batteries alone and about 350 miles when the sun is out, which was only a few days during the trip.

The project is a way to show how individuals and big corporations can advance alternative energy solutions.
