Western Australia Gvn. Considers Using Treated Waste Water For Drinking
"The West Australian Government says a plan to use treated waste water to boost Perth's drinking water supplies would only proceed if it was proved to be completely safe.

The Water Corporation is considering a plan to divert up to 50 gigalitres of treated waste water that is normally pumped into the ocean back into the Gnangara and Jandakot mounds.

The corporation has asked the Health Department and the Environmental Protection Authority for advice.

Environment Minister Judy Edwards says the Government would not let the project go ahead if there were any health risks involved."

2. I can understand why some people might be grossed out by this.
But the truth is that the water we drink today is the same water that was in our toilets a month ago. And it's also the same water that the dinosaurs pissed out a hundred million years ago.

A molecule of water is a molecule of water is a molecule of water.

3. Is this a farms v city-folk issue, or
is there ...really... a water shortage.
.......
similiar to California, where rich farmers with
inherited water rights get all the water,
so they tell city people to drink seawater.
