Here is a picture of a my latest creation
This is my battery powered yard cart that I am building so as to use in my yard work. I have PAD and its getting harder for me to get around our yard to take care of our garden and such. I used the motors and controllers from a defunct powerchair for this project. I can use it all day on a charge and it cost me around a half of a kwh of electricity to recharge, we pay .08 a kwh here. With my old ford lawn tractor I would use some dollars worth of gasoline to do the same thing with.

The bed which is a dump bed btw, is not complete as I'm making the flooring out of oak and am adding removable sideboards to it.

What ya' think??

1. Where's the wings!! Good job Madokie, well made by the
looks of it. Two motors and a joystick, not baaaaaaaddddd. I understand that cars will one day be controlled by a joystick, the steering wheel will no longer be something to get in the way while you are texting. Bad joke considering the texting accident of late. Does it come in red?

2. Well of course
any color you want as long as its grey. Actually I used this color because I had a can of the paint on the shelf left over from another project. :hi:

6. I have you covered on that as I don't do the bar scene anymore
An occasional drink mostly to remind me of why I quit is all I have anymore.

10. You may be on to sumthin here!
Mount a keg on the back and run hoses to the seat and voila!, you have created the NASCAR version of the power scooter! Beware, cuz I know you know there are rednecks in Tulsa who would kill to have that ride (with the keg, of course)!

12. Hey that looks good and it looks like it would work too
As my old dad would have said, son you have to wag your own tail 'cause there ain't no one going to do it for you. So in that vein I posted this here.

What a beautiful place you must have there. I can only imagine the 'shrooms that are growing in those woods.

13. Very nice work! and on the mushrooms ...
keep some milk thistle extract pills around just in case you have a bad reaction (it helps the liver deal with toxicity, just in case).

Good luck on the PAD and have you looked into low carb and other dietary approaches?

I really admire your mechanical skills!

14. Thanks
I only eat the kind that I know for sure is good to eat. I have never heard of milk thistle extract pills before although I think it is milk thistle that lives around here. I'll be doing some googling now for sure. The other part there just comes naturally to me so I don't see it as anything other than something I enjoy doing. As a kid right after WW2 and being poor like we were if you had a toy it more than likely was something you built for yourself or in some cases family built for you and not something purchased for that.
