For every bottle of Dawn dish soap one buys, you can have them donate a dollar to the Marine Mammal Center and the International Bird Rescue Research Center.

3. If the contributions to a worthy cause weren't enough
Dawn is one of the few products I endorse over their generic equivalent. I've seen firsthand how much better Dawn performs in cleaning up oil spills; the generics just didn't cut it.

4. Dawn is also suggested as the thing to wash your dog with to
get rid of fleas.

6. Dawn has very effective surfactants
that reduce the surface tension of water, allowing it to better coat other surfaces, such as the breathing pores of fleas. In plain water, fleas can just stop respiration until they're back in the air, but with surfactants making water wetter, their pores remain underwater long enough for suffocation to occur.

9. I have seen birds go from being literal tarballs
to being clean enough to release back into the ocean, thanks to Dawn.

It's the gold standard for oil spills.

5. Plus...Dawn is great for de-skunking your dog!
If your pup gets sprayed by Pepe La Pew just pour a bottle of Dawn directly onto your smelly friend, massage into the skin and rinse. Dawn cuts grease and skunk spray is an oil so as long as you don't add water until your dog is completely soaked in Dawn.....everything goes right down the drain.

Everybody who owns a dog might benefit from a big bottle to keep for emergencies.
