It is up $6 today on a day when market is basically flat. No news that I can see.

FLSR is my only energy stock. Correlates well with price of oil (provides good hedge against energy prices) without investing in an oil company.

1. Maybe about to announce a big contract or technological breakthrough only few know about.
I believe solar is the future of energy but its just too inefficient with current technology. But no doubt the technoloy will be improved.

3. Maybe. Just weird Evergreen Solar and SunPower are flat.
Who knows maybe it is "nothing" could be large bank or large investor buying a "substnatial" portion of the float.

4. FSLR stock has been rather bouncy over the past few months
This might have to do with the market price of silicon, though.

5. alternative energy
Alternative energy is the hope for the future. Runaway oil prices will do America in. everything alternative except ethanol is the way to go. getting alternatives up and running is the hope. Inflation is coming , not recession. A bigger recession now will be a great depression. The government is going to step in and run the economy. has to. Oil and wars is too costly.

7. Pump and dump on a 11 billion company? Really?

Nanosolar hasn't been made a profit since it launched 7 years ago.

I invest in strongly profitable companies not unicorns.

"Nanosolar to move into production this year"

Dated 2007. Production run in 2009 12MW. Yup a whole 1 MW a month. WOW!

Sure you don't mean SOME analyst are recommending to sell First Solar?

Registered Analysts are prohibited from being long or short in the stocks they track.

"Analysts are shorting First Solar."

That sentence doesn't even make sense. How old are you?
