Smart Grid Solar Tech: Getting the Energy From Point A to B
A quick look at what the solar industry, in conjunction with the U.S. federal government, is doing to improved transmission of solar energy to the electric grid:

As solar technology evolves and improves, so does the necessity of finding efficient and reliable ways of getting the energy to the grid. Here's a look at what's being done.

The Problem:

At the end of the day, the eco-bling installations adorning the occasional neighborhood rooftop do not have near the impact as large utility solar arrays feeding into the grid. Sure, size matters. But it also has to do with convenience and the nature of consumerism.

We are creatures of habit, after all, prone to staying the course unless forced otherwise. And widespread emissions reduction is best implemented at the source, often relying on policy change.
