Shocking NASA Image: Never-Seen-Before Southeast Oil Slick Arm
And I thought I was going to have a relaxing night... then NASA posted this.

A startling new image released by NASA today shows a massive column of oil extending out Southeast towards the open ocean. This column has not been visible in any satellite photos taken so far and will no doubt change the estimated extent of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill disaster.

3. This is such an unmitigated clusterf**k
There seems to be absolutely no sense of urgency. Why the US gov't hasn't taken charge of this project and kicked BP's ass to the curb is simply beyond me. This is truly a "way to go Brownie" event.

At a minimum BP should lose its license to operate. And we need to get so much more serious about demanding serious regulation of this industry.

This event is going to end up being a significant part of the Prez's legacy.

7. Where was it?
I haven't seen this anywhere - it's a mindblowing image and I hope the MSM pick it up.

Grr, I see they didn't put a time stamp on it. But I got this link off my facebook page where I posted it last night at 11:33 pm.

On edit: if you open the link, the page address includes the date 2010-05-17. FYI so you didn't think I was talking out of my arse.
