Vermont regulators approve 55MW wind power deals
http://www.brighterenergy.org/10644/news/wind/vermont-regulators-approve-wind-farm-power-deal/

Regulators in Vermont have approved two power purchase agreements for the state’s two largest utilities to buy 55 megawatts of power from a 99MW wind project in New Hampshire.

The Vermont Public Service Board gave the go-ahead yesterday for power deals for Green Mountain Power (GMP) and Central Vermont Public Service (CVPS) to source renewable energy from the Granite Reliable Wind project.

The wind farm in Coos County, NH, is set to comprise 33 Vestas wind turbines, each rated to produce up to 3MW output (see this BrighterEnergy.org story).

CVPS will purchase 30.3% of the wind farm’s output from developer Noble Environmental Power, while GMP will purchase 25%.

I was in VT last week - lots of PV systems, solar hot water systems, domestic wind turbines and Priuses everywhere....
