Stop the Big Oil Bailout - measure would prevent EPA form holding polluters accountable.
On June 10, the U.S. Senate will vote on Sen. Lisa Murkowski's Big Oil Bailout resolution that would prevent the EPA from holding polluters accountable, and fill Big Oil’s pockets with an additional $140 billion.

1. Is she crazy?

Polls show that the majority of americans, including republicans, are really pissed off at BP, does she think this is going to go over well with the vast majority that are mad as hell at big oil companies?

Now I know republicans haven't been very smart lately, and I know they have to pay back all the big oil companies for the "money" they have received, but this is just plain insane if you as me! Any member of congress that votes to let the oil companies off the hook, and thus pretty much making sure the taxpayers are going to foot the bill, will be committing political suicide! While the brain dead extreme right might go along with this, they are the "minority", and catering to the "minority" isn't going to get them any votes in November.

If the democrats are smart they will take down the names of everyone voting for such stupidity and use this against them come election time. Same goes for any democrat dumb enough to vote for something like this, they too need to get the boot! It will be very interesting to see who votes "for" this bill!

I know this isn't directly aimed at the oil spill in the Gulf, but if this is passed I am sure some lawyers will try and use it to get BP off the hook using some minor point that has been stuck into this bill!

2. Yes, of course, but that's not the real question -- that is:

How much of the Senate will prove to be crazy? Or at least securely bought off by big oil?

If there is that much craziness, will the House be as crazy -- and if so, will Obama wield the veto pen?

3. Any Democrat who votes for this
should be primaried. (That's not what I really think should be done to them, but I don't want the mods to take down my comment.)
