Cannabis Electric Car To Be Made In Canada

http://www.cbc.ca/technology/story/2010/08/23/cannabis-hemp-electric-car-kestrel-motive.html#ixzz0xc8efvOG

Well, made of hemp actually. But if GM tried this, anti-pot zealots would denounce them as drug pushers. Ignorance and innovation don't mix....

1. I think you do the cause a disservice with that picture
using hemp as a industrial material (again) would do many positive things for the industrial world.

First if we can grow as opposed to process more materials, we save on overall energy usage, thus reducing greenhouse gasses.

Next, IF they want to admit it's use and functionality, we could start looking into using hemp oil fr making plastics and perhaps other synthetics as needed (because we DO NEED plastic, it's the reason why medicine i where it is today)

Finally, it would seriously help us all out of this fucking recession.
if we could grow our own hemp (NOT pot you twits) we can drastically reduce the money spent on bare essentials like clothing!
Yes it may be boring having the same clothes for he next 10+ years, but the amount of money saved will be amazing.

"oh but it's not vogue" .... tough

Fuck fashion, necessity comes first, and right now, IF we want to sustain ourselves as a first world power (oops china just passed us) we need to cut back a LOT for a while.

2. Sorry You Think So
Those who believe hemp and pot are one and the same will never be persuaded otherwise. Too much political gold to be mined and exploited. And too much corporate money at stake.
Besides, I doubt any of them ever attended a Cheech&Chong movie or concert, so that picture would have no meaning for them one way or the other. But I had assumed folks on the pro-hemp side would get a little laugh from the pic and appreciate its irony.
So I guess I'm not sure just what sort of "disservice" you think I may have caused. Unless you fear my O/P contains super-brainwashing ingredients; causing some to think, "Wow! If tucsonlib equates hemp with Cheech&Chong, maybe hemp really is as evil and addictive as pot!"

But I doubt there are more than, say, a few thousand souls out there so susceptible to my powers.....

7. you missed the point completely
I could probably recite the differences as well as you.

but I remember when people were campaigning in the mid 90's to legalize canibus in California for medical purposes.
the problem was and is the "kind" of people who are open and supportive of it are exactly the "kind" of people the sheep are told are abusing it.

ok smaller words...

pot heads don't help our cause.

It doesn't matter if they're right, it's all about perception.

The sheep are scared of different lookin people.

try reading my entire post before you sound like an idiot.

I want hemp legalized, RTFP!
I live in holland, I have no problem with legalized pot either.
it's NOT a major issue here, AND it's a source of tax income and helps the local economy.

4. Hemp Bicycle with Motor
One of my co-workers built it. He zooms around the factory grounds on it at lunchtime...(I work for a bicycle manufacturer.) The tubes are hemp wrapped around carbon fiber. And there's a company out there making custom bamboo road bicycles.
