Space Tourism: A Black Cloud for the Earth's Climate?
Something to consider when booking next year's family vacation around the solar system.

According to researchers, space tourism could accelerate global climate change as a result of large amounts of black carbon being emitted by rocket engines.

Although space tourism may sound far-fetched, it is not an unforeseen possibility. Billionaire Richard Branson is currently developing Virgin Galactic -- a venture designed to take civilians on a trip to space. Branson's organization is just one of several private space flight companies.
