Please Don't Go: Carbonfund.org Says the U.S. Will Just Get In the Way of The U.N. Climate Talks
Is this a productive position to take? What do you think the United States will contribute to the conference?

Carbonfund.org, a leading nonprofit carbon reduction and climate change organization, has called for the United States to stay home allowing for United Nations' negotiations on climate change to make progress in Cancun, Mexico next week.

Carbonfund.org is urging countries to move forward with a legally binding climate change treaty without the U.S., which the organization suggests will just get in the way.

5. The Copenhagen f*ck-up happened under Obama.
The world is getting sick of the lack of "change" on so many things ...

6. Wouldn't matter what the Obama admin negotiates, the Repub Congress will refuse to pass it
Anything involving the House would get voted down; anything involving the Senate would be threatened with a filibuster. The Repubs have made it clear they'll do that on principle - they are there to oppose Obama, not do anything good for the USA. Add to that their religion of denying global warming, and it's not surprising others say the US federal government can't do on the environment in the next 2 years. US scientists will continue to do vital work, of course, if the Repubs don't sabotage them; and US states might make advances.

2. I wouldn't be surprised if we start being uninvited to many international meetings
and forums. Our presence is no longer essential since we are on the downhill slide and only looking out for the interests of the rich and powerful in our country.

Wouldn't it be nice if people here started to wake up to the fact that the rest of the world is tired of our bullshit?
