This talk by Dr. Chip Fletcher is under 10 minutes long and gives a great current overview on the research of erosion and sea level rise. The discussion goes on longer but is fascinating.

1. Scary thought: what happens to Bangladesh? Tens of millions of people near sea level

Sure, it'll be bad if Miami, New Orleans, and Galveston fall into the sea (or vice versa) sometime in the mid 2100s. But our country could handle that shock. Baton Rouge will make nice beachfront property.

Bangladesh in the 22nd century will have a population at about 200 million. What happens when their country starts to flood out and they decide they need to flood into nuclear India for survival? Short answer: Kabooom!
