3. Zorro is a bad-ass hurricane name.
I think I would vote for Yvette for #25.

4. Yeah, Zorro would be a pretty tough-sounding hurricane
Maybe Hurricane Yog-Sothoth under the Y-names? ;-)

5. Only if it achieves at least cat-4.
I mean, you've gotta earn a name like that.

6. Not as bad ass as Zarathustra.
Thus spoke

Here however are the (wimpy) names that the weather service gives us:

Arlene
Bret
Cindy
Dennis
Emily
Franklin
Gert
Harvey
Irene
Jose
Katrina
Lee
Maria
Nate
Ophelia
Philippe
Rita
Stan
Tammy
Vince
Wilma

They are tempting fate by ending with Fred's wife in the age of global climate change.

My nominees for the addition names they will need:

Xerxes, Yashodhara (Budda's wife),and of course, Zarathustra. It's been millennia since these people lived, and probably millennia since so many names will be required.

Still waiting for Hurricane Godzilla, or Hurricane Schwinngg, or Hurricane Monster Zero, or Hurricane Boris Badenov, though . . .

10. Irene might get interesting
Models indicate that Irene may affect the East Coast next week. The Outer Banks on north will probably begin to hear about the storm. Standby for the media hype machine.

The northeast could use the rain.

11. There's plenty of piping hot surface water to fuel her.
If the other conditions are favorable, just about any storm could become a real monster this season. In theory.
