It's "fission energy" all the way.
Just a thought. The term "nuclear power" is far too inaccurate and flattering for this technology. The term nuclear has far too broad a meaning to be useful as an accurate descriptor of energy derived from the process of fissioning atoms. We don't want to promote confusion of atomic fission derived energy with fusion derived energy, after all.

Might I suggest these terms be added to our lexicon to enhance the accuracy in our communications.

nuclear fission energy
atomic fission energy
nuclear fission industry
atomic fission industry
fission derived energy
or just "fission energy".

Just a thought...

3. Can't we just relegate them ALL to the history books?
Our mutant children will be able to read about the good ol' days when people only had one head and organs inside their bodies.
