Independent Online, a South African news website, reports that Japan found 12,500 becquerels per kilogram in sand, or 25 times the legal limit.

Approximately 12,000 becquerels per kilogram, or six times the legal limit of radioactive iodine, was found in fish caught south of Fukushima, according to the story.
