For the year 2010, global annual installations of solar power amounted to $71.2 billion, and in 2020 the annual installations of solar will have increased to $113.6 billion.
During 2010 $60.5 billion in wind power were installed, and in 2020 global installs of wind turbines will reach $122.9 billion that year.
While US wind installations slightly declined from 2009 levels, China’s wind power installations increased in 2010 and it passed up the U.S. as the global leader in total installed wind power capacity.
