Got an email from Toyota yesterday... |
|
It stated that I have first "dibs" (haven't heard that since grade school) on a new plug in prius.
I didn't know what to make of this since Toyota announced it was suspending auto production in the US.
any thoughts?

1. I got the same email... So I guess you don't get FIRST dibs.... |
|
I DO! LOL
Any thoughts? Well, I guess they anticipate getting them to market somehow. I hope this means they may resume production in US plants, but I've never been sure which Toyota vehicles were produced where. My other thought is that I'd probably have to win the lottery before thinking about buying a new car right now, whether US Union-made or not...

- Production is delayed, not canceled; they’re hoping that if you’ve been holding off a new car purchase, waiting for a plug-in Prius, they can get you to wait just a little longer (rather than “settling” for a Chevy plug-in hybrid.)
- Email is a cheap way to generate good feelings on the part of (potential) customers such as yourself.
(I assume at some point, you expressed an interest.) http://www.earthtechling.com/2011/04/plug-in-prius-priority-registation-open/
