nat geo show "witness" on man-induced earthquakes. |
|
pretty good show on last night.. highlighting the research on earthquakes around Taipai 101, Zipingpu Dam (Sichuan earthquakes) and the coal mines of Newcastle.
very compelling evidence. suggested for the skeptics.. who decree by thier extreme intelligence, that man shall never affect tectonics. lol (even with massive redistribution of ice and water ie global warming)

and I learned a lot. :D
The show about the people who were trapped in the hotel in Haiti made me cry, though. They are friends of a friend of mine so I really felt for them as people, but I also got really upset about how we've done so little there since the quake. :(
