9. Oh, no worries there - we'll hit it within the next three years . . . |
|
Not as an annual average, of course, but we'll likely spike over it in winter and then drop back a bit the following summer.

5. Nothing's going to stop that rise until we run out of fuel |
|
Once oil, coal and gas become really hard to find and expensive, then it will flatten out. The other scenario is that we kill off enough of each other that industrial activity declines. That is probably more likely. Especially if Perry of Bachmann gets in as POTUS.
It is very depressing to see that the economic recession that hit the western world did nothing to slow the CO2 rise.
We are still apes- short sighted, vicious, self-centered apes.

6. What I find most impressive/depressing |
|
is how despite an increase in knowledge about CO2, CO2 levels appear to keep increasing exponentially!

7. It's the DISCONNECT. People don't see how their vacation, having children, driving, all contribute. |
|
I see people who care about global warming going to Alaska to look at the beauty. Going to Spain to study for three months. Hiking the Himalayas. Driving to Bend for a bike ride.
I'm disgusted that for forty years I have avoided as much fossil fuel impact as I can, and yet it has done nothing except deprive me of my luxury to see the world. Meanwhile, frivolity ensues.
How do we get people to connect their behavior with the problem?
