Need green energy cost study links
I am debating alternative energy with a "Libertarian" who quoted me the CATO Institute, of all places. http://www.cato.org/pubs/pas/pa-280.html He supports nuclear power. He says wind energy kills birds.

He seems to think that the "free market" would have support green energy if it was viable.
He failed to mention the current tax subsidies that favor oil and other dirty sources that tip the balance so far that there is NO free market playing field.

Any links of economic comparisons, between green and traditional energy, would be appreciated.

Thanks

1. www.awea.org
The American Wind Energy Association has some good stuff.

Here is one on comparative costs: http://www.awea.org/pubs/factsheets/Cost2001.PDF

and here is one on birds: http://www.awea.org/pubs/factsheets/WEandBirds.pdf

Good luck with your debate.
