http://www.solarbuzz.com/News/NewsEUPR307.htmOne of the largest German roof top PV systems has started to be be constructed in the Bavarian district of Aichach-Friedberg. The project was developed by Planet Energy GmbH following commissioning from Greenpeace Energy eG.
A total area of 31,000 square meters will be covered with around 8,500 photovoltaic modules. Altogether, three large roofs will be turned into a solar power system with a peak capacity of 1.56 Megawatts.
The location, close to the communities Dasing and Sielenbach, will be host to one of the 10 largest roof top systems in Germany. The project involves an investment of 8 million euros.
The subsidiary of the nationally active electricity co-operative, Greenpeace energy was founded especially for the construction of power station parks.
