Incumbent Moran (R-KS) stresses alternative energy production
http://www.49abcnews.com/news/2006/nov/02/incumbent_moran_stresses_alternative_energy_produc/

Republican Congressman Jerry Moran first took his seat in Washington in 1997, representing the largest district in the State.

Moran is seeking a sixth term as the First District representative. As he hits the campaign trail against Democratic challenger John Doll, he is pressing for the need to provide Kansans with more health care facilities, protect family farms and become a leader in alternative energy production. He says the need to become less reliant on other countries' energy is crucial.

More information on Jerry Moran's position on the issues is available by viewing a 3:02 video here.

"It would be a wonderful day in the Country when we can tell Saudi Arabia or other Middle East countries that we are no longer dependant on them for our energy needs," says Moran.

(edit: sorry, couldn't resist the title )

2. Response: I'm glad to see Jerry espousing this part of
the Democratic platform. Unfortunately, the rest of his party doesn't agree with him, and a vote for Jerry is a vote for the failed Republican agenda.
